Here's some more photos of my new protogen character, Quirk. I built him myself from a Kaiborg kit and designed the electronics and software myself.
I'll get a proper tail for him eventually, for now I used a panther tail I impulse-bought at Anthrocon one year. I forget who I bought it from, though.
I did a couple of shoots, one wearing PVC leggings, but that made it look like a dropped-crotch fursuit so I did another take with faux leather jeans. The middle picture is the only decent one with the leggings because he's sitting down and not standing up and looking baggy and weird.
There was also an attempted second session where one of his cheeks fell off and had to be repaired before the third and final attempt, which was the most successful.

I did consider the black racing leathers, actually. I might try that.
The PVC leggings were from ebay and are a bit too big, the faux leather jeans I got hoping they would be less warm than real leather - they weren't. The PVC superhero boots I really bought to take to conventions, but they're a bit too plasticky in their construction so I just use them for photoshoots.
The tattier leather jacket has an interesting history - I call it "The Italian Thug Jacket" as my father was intimidated into buying it by rather pushy thugs with Italian accents. It's cheap and nasty but occasionally useful.

Okay, I found the email
They were Pleaser Funtasma Hero-100 boots. AFAIK Pleaser are still around so hopefully they still make something like these!
Note that the heels feel a bit lightweight and plasticky, so I'm, not sure if they'd survive a fursuit parade or something. But for indoor photoshoots they work nicely.
