To all the people watching my FA page, thank you very much. I'm flattered that you think my pictures worth it.

This costume is my General Bridgebane. He is from a story that I hope to write once I finish my Metamor Keep storyline. In the distant future, Earth was destroyed and humanity wiped out, save for one captain on a shattered, wrecked starship coasting through space after a blind jump out of its last, desperate combat. That starship carried the last hopes of humanity: stasis pods, DNA repositories, and memory cores that stored the sum total of Earth's knowledge. The battle destroyed those hopes, all save for one: the data cores, which the dying captain took with him into the crippled escape pod.

That escape pod, still trapped in the wreckage, is where a strange and advanced being found both man and knowledge... and brought them to the world she had set herself to guard and to raise. She healed the man and reshaped him to match the denizens of that world, and then poured that knowledge into his mind. He was to be her aide in uplifting the world, using that knowledge to help guide and teach its people on their road to the stars. Although Earth is dead, through this new world, its memory and wisdom will live on...

Thus Captain Michael Bainbridge became first Mikael Bridgebane, and then eventually General Bridgebane, High Priest of the White Dragon and chief advisor to the Jade Empress.

(Admittedly, I don't play him that deeply into character at a con, but if you're going to have a backstory, go big! :) )
