Oh look, another video game-related submission.


I wouldn't say that video games themselves are the inspiration (though they are part of it), but more the artwork that comes with them. There's plenty of game artists that I look up to (Ayami Kojima, Glenn Rane, Sam Didier, Takuji Kawano to name a few). I had originally thought about doing a big collage, but it would probably take me days and there's another artist who already did that.

So reason I chose a SNES controller over everything else is because it was the system that made me notice how much I liked the artwork in these games. When I was younger, I used to draw my own Megaman X-style mavericks. I mean, they made a sea sponge into a respectable boss.
