Pic and description have no spoilers. This is an Envy demon Saarebas Inquisitor x Cullen scene to illustrate a Dragon Age Inquisition fanfic.
Lots of Qunari refs, teeny tiny details, lore-friendly new designs and imagery:
• Andraste sword grip;
• Saarebas’ dress mixes circle of magi + Qunari designs (doesn’t exist, but very relevant to this fade-touched scene!);
• foci/orb of destruction arms’ flesh;
• the crystals — red lyrium or breach magic? Both?
• and there are also hints of Cullen’s lyrium kit, all contributing to the dynamics and contrasts at play in the scene;
• Real-world refs like the myth of Kali or classical paintings like Judith beheading Holofernes;
All in all a lovely commission for the fic author, dabbingslytherin. ♥
