I don't know why you guys are jumping on me about this.
Umah is not a show dog. I put her in a stack once or twice a year for her breeder. She does not walk on her hocks, she does not run on her hocks, she doesn't even stand like that naturally. So for the few minutes out of each year of her life that she has to stand like that, I really, really doubt it will affect her in the long run.

not really yelling at u specifically. it just doesnt make sense to me how/why they made that the standard for such a beautiful breed
i took a shot of this beauty but he told me shes a show dog. and shes so pretty too =/ then he wants to breed her -.-

See I don't like that look. The over done slope and whole messed up end in general.
Umah comes from working lines (she was sold to me as 'pet quality' because she doesn't have the necessary drives for the work her breeder does), mostly czech and german. Most of the dogs on her yard are geared more toward working ability than towards show. Mostly schuzthund, althoug I know a few were sent out for K9 and I had Umah in SAR for a while until school and work became too much to juggle with it.
I can agree that when they can't even stand properly, it hurts just to look at them. I personally (and it possible I'm blind since she is my own dog that I cherish and love) don't see Umah has having that crippled appearance, even in this stack shot.
