“And then he tried uploading the documents to a computer that isn’t even Window’s XP! I mean can you believe it?”

Pamela laughed loudly as she told her co-worker Donna about her recent encounter with an outside vendor for Dominos, the two sharing a big laugh at the expense of said vendor.

As they talked, Pamela grabbed her Venti Mocha Latte with extra cream and extra whip, taking a big slug of the caffeinated beverage. It was 11:30 and she was in the breakroom, trying to get ready to tackle her next assignment.

“Ha-ha, something similar happened to Roger when he tried to set up our merger with “First Choice Products a few years ago. Roger needed a color copy and the rep there tried faxing it, no matter how many times Roger said to scan and email it. The poor guy didn’t even know how to scan from his copier”, the obese kangaroo laughed, her chins quivering as she did.

Pamela had become very close with the staff at her job, it was hard not to. They were all so friendly, so eager to help, and so eager to have good food around that Pamela enjoyed their company. If she spotted someone in the breakroom, it usually turned into a fifteen-minute bullshit fest while she sipped on her coffee and had a donut. Or two. Or three if the conversation went on long enough.

The growing panther backed up a bit as she let Donna continue talking about some of her past exploits, feeling her butt brush up against the counter as she did so. She turned to see that her tail was about to end up in a jelly donut, so she in turn grabbed said donut and munched on it while the kangaroo kept talking.

The jelly slid down her throat, causing her to shudder ever so slightly. While she was becoming more of a glutton due to all the food that was around and the nature of her job, Pamela had actually started enjoying most of the fares in the office. She found herself craving a donut with most of her cups of coffee, feeling that the sugar rush helped her maintain her focus, letting her get work done faster.

She had no complaints whatsoever; even if her clothes were getting tighter or her food bills were going up. Even as her weight crested past 200 pounds, Pamela was on cloud nine, loving her job, the pay it was bringing in, and the people around her. She let Donna finish her story and swallowed the rest of the donut.

She was about to return to her office when she noticed that there was only one more donut in the dozen. She grinned sheepishly and took it.

“This, this is more energy to finish up those reports before lunch!” she joked with Donna, before slowly walking back to her office, eager to finish her outstanding reports so she could go to lunch on time.
