I think we all in some shape or form want recognition and praise, especially from someone we respect. I love getting comments and favs from everyone but when an artist I admire favs or comments on a pic I did...well I can't help but smile a little bit. Reading "Better Days" was one of the things that got me started in drawing anthro art work! Something as simple as "Hey not bad." from an artist I admire is a huge thing for me! Ok maybe I'm a bit needy, maybe I can blame my low self-esteem for that but when I get praise by the artist Beowulf I feel great! Naylor is one of the guys that inspired me to start drawing and honestly I still don't feel like I'm good enough to do fan art for him! I loved his work, his attention to anatomy, the lay out of his comic, the story, watching the characters grow up and live. These were all huge steps for me that I wanted to do as well! I saw Naylor at a con once and stopped by to say hello, I think he was busy or in the middle of a conversation so I didn't really get a response but I'll admit, I'm a bit of a fan boy...
