We said goodbye to a most beloved mew tonight. Dad's devastated. Tricksi was his special furbaby. She followed him everywhere. Even when she went blind, she still tried to follow him everywhere.

I'd been taking her to vet because for the past couple of weeks she's been off her food. Today I took her to the vet and they did a more in-depth exam/scan. They found a tumor in her chest and abdomen. Inoperable. We were told she had less than a week, probably.

Then tonight she was on her way to the kitchen, and she suddenly fell over sideways and started convulsing. It was Very Disturbing to watch. Called the vet, and they met us at the clinic. Dad made the call. We couldn't let her suffer, and there was no way she'd be improving.

She was one of the smartest cats we've ever had. Sixteen years old is a good age for a cat, yet still feels "too soon."
