Made this alien solar system a while back and designed these gelatinous creatures called the Baboa. They are a rather peaceful space faring capable race that are not ones to really bother with the politics of other societies, and would prefer to focus on stabilizing their home planet, citizens, and solar system first before doing any mass interstellar migrations.

There's a lot of crap actually written for these guys and their universe.. The only hard parts of these beings is their claws and beaks which can be retracted into their body, baboa communicate though the frills on their back that reflect ultra-violet light since their eyes are limited to the ultra-violet and blue light spectrum as are most of the species on their planet. Their star system is a blue dwarf, circled by a gas giant, and their planet which is a water world with sparse pillars of rock that jut out of their sea. Their system struggles with mass extinction due to the volatile nature of their star and a race of small bug like aliens that wish to harvest their resources and expand their business in this quadrant of the universe.
