Circlular Conglomerations of Crazy Catastrophic Canine Carts
That just happened.
Ok so I decided I wanted to branch out, I know these are all so crazy crazy different from what I have been doing for so long, but since I just started playing around with this new technique of mine, Im really trying ot put myself to the test. I actually picked this from a very bland, randomly selected batch fractal. I know, Im not supposed to do that, but I wanted to test myself and see just what I could really do when I didnt have much to work with. It was like a surprise, now adapt, situation. And so I tried for a van gogh-y-lookin thing. I kinda like how it turned out, there are parts I like and there are parts I dont. It was still really fun to do, and I am still feeling very accomplished with the final product.Lemme know what you guys think and what you guys like. The biggest problem that I continue to encounter, is that I can only invert selections of the pic in circular selections, and in rows or lines. This is quite the fun learning process! I try to stay away from stuff that is Van Gogh-y because I have an appreciation for it but it just doesnt feel like my style ya know? And yet at the same time, looking at this one, It still feels like me. Especially the crazy brightastic colors!

I would be more inclined to say that he just has a diffe4rent set of standards 8D Also, eh approached it using artistic criterion, and he did have valid points. I know that my stuff wont always beb the best or always be everyones favs...I guess really Ihave just been lucky up til now ^^ I seem to have a good record thus far with my usual active watchers =3
now you are just trying to hard. There are to many colors and contrasts in this pic to make it good. It ioverloads the eyes and makes it hard to focus on the overall design. Not to mention that it is unbalanced in layout. This is your WORST one that i have seen.
My first reaction was this-->
My second reaction was that I actually partially agree with you. Admittedly, there is a lot of stuff going on, and it IS unbalanced. I decided to try for a much more abstract than usual piece with lots of breaks in the flow of the pic tho. THAT part was intended. Also, I feel that I did try super hard on this, but I feel it is necessary to test my limits with this new area that I havent explored before. I need to test the boundaries and see just how far this can go, and what exactly I am capable of doing with it. I agree that there are a lot of colors,but personally I am a huge fan of colors anyways, so thats just me ^^;
Now when I was doing this, I had felt like when I finished all the effects and stuff, I had planned to flip it on its side, so the part with the noise, currently on the right, would either be at the bottom or the top, and I was leaning towards the bottom. Admittedly it doesnt fix the unbalanced problem, and as you can see I ded make attempts at it, but I have found that sometimes unbalanced pics are actually more interesting.
Anyways, as much as it came across as terribly harsh, I feel that you have very valid points of concern, and I will definitely keep them in mind with my next one 8D
Also...
whether I LIKE it or not.
Thank you for the critique, I know it can be hard to hear sharp edges on my rounded views, but I feel that it will help in the long run! so, I really do thank you for your critique ^^ I need the feedback with this new stuff and when everyone just says, "ITS AWESOME!" OR"Meh...its kinda cool but I dont like it as much as your other ones" It doesnt actually help me at all. That being said, do try to not come across so...@%#w NEXT TIME, PLEASE

hehe actually as I did concede to him, I do feel that he actually did have valid points. Also, whats the point in having a public gallery, if I cant use it to get good critique and feedback and if I cant use that feedback so that I can continue to make my art better, and thus impress more people and have more people attracted to my stuff =p Also...all artists care what other people think ^^ we spend so much effort working on our art and then we post it to some public place so we can hopefully hear form people who like it...about how much they like it and how awesome they think it is 8b

I have to say, I really like your new kick Lil. I wouldn't say Van gogh. To me its a bit more, 80's digital artwork. something like this. and its very popular right now. http://fineartamerica.com/featured/.....arl-perry.html I like it.
