This is the final result of a proof of concept I had for movable ears. I have posted alot of videos of the different stages on youtube, including a tutorial on how to make them, but here is the final prototype vid:

The initial idea was to be installed in a fursuit head, so as far as the 'hat' version goes, the mechanics are a little bulky. I wanted something that would be natural and somwhat controllable without using animetronics or servos, because I didnt want someone else in charge of the emotions.

the ears move by themselves. I dont need to do anything to get them to 'work', all be it just a subtle movement, just enough to add tons of curiousity. I was moving my head all over in the video to show the extremes, and that the harness didnt restrict head movement. The ears work in all positions without having to do anything special.
