Being presumptuous is a known way of getting oneself into trouble in some of the most unexpected ways... Not judging a book by its cover is a lesson that one always learns at some point in their lifetime, and it is not one to be taken lightly. A lone rabbit woman walking down dark alleyways, weaving through tight corridors well out of sight from most passersby seems like an obvious target for those looking for easy prey. She looks so small and harmless at a distance, someone who keeps mostly to herself and shies away from public attention, and her fancy-looking clothing might be taken as a hint that she has money and valuables aplenty to steal if she can be caught... But while she lacks natural weapons in the form of sharp teeth, claws, horns, or anything of the sort, she is still able to bite back against potential predators in some rather surprising ways.
It's not often that Morgana finds herself being stalked by potential thieves, muggers, and other n'er-do-wells intent on cornering her to do whatever manner of unsavory deeds they wish to inflict on her. And those who choose to take their chances in pursuing her will find the tables suddenly being turned on them when the rabbit woman turns to fix them with an unwaveringly calm yet fierce gaze, brandishing a sharpened throwing knife in one hand that she appears to have pulled out of thin air as she balances it with a surprisingly expert grace between her fingers in preparation to fight back. Morgana is hardly the strongest in terms of strength or stature, but she makes up for it with her sharp senses, extensive knowledge and preparedness, and being far quicker on her feet than one would expect for a rabbit of her age... She hardly seems like an imposing figure herself from a general perspective, as she's simply a middle-aged, widowed, retired ex-doctor that runs the local alchemy and occult shop in town and offers occasional medical services to those in need. But her name and the reputation she's garnered certainly speak volumes that trifling with her is considered a fool's errand, and ignoring those warnings can and will have severe, unplanned consequences for the would-be interloper. As the saying goes around on the streets...
'Beware the Montag Hag'An absolutely wonderfully done art piece once again featuring my little rabbit lady Morgana, this time showing her in a far different sort of light. While she is most certainly mild-mannered and sweet-tempered, even she has moments where she can be surprisingly dangerous as well in certain circumstances. It's always the quiet and innocent looking ones that you have to be the most careful of, especially on the off chance you find yourself on their bad side, after all. She doesn't wear those nice-looking clothes just for show, any article of clothing she owns has multiple hidden pockets and compartments sewn in specifically for hiding all sorts of weapons and other items meant for self-defense in the event that she finds herself in potential danger. Call it paranoia or being overly cautious to an extreme degree if you want, but there certainly is some kind of method to Morgana's madness...
I just love how nicely this came out, from the pose and the steely, determined looking expression on her face to those highlights along her body and the knife from the red lighting to really convey a sense of eeriness and danger! And the shading and texture work on her clothes and hair is simply superb, and I feel that the particular style they went with really fits quite well for this particular piece! Needless to say, I'm quite pleased with the end results of this, the artist absolutely never disappoints with their work~ <33

Casty! Thank you so very much for doing such an excellent job depicting my dear lady in such a way, and for always being such a joy to work with from start to finish! Honestly, I can't recommend this artist and the incredible work they do enough, especially for such a reasonable price! Please do go give Casty a watch if you haven't done so already, and favorite the original post of this work on their page as well! They offer icons like this and the many others they have on display in their gallery for $25 minimum (exact price may vary slightly depending on background details), so if you'd like to be able to get ahold of one for yourself then keep an eye out for their monthly icon commissions and grab a slot if you're interested while they're available! They also offer limited YCHs and regular commissions as well every so often if those are more up your alley, but regardless, I highly encourage you all to support an awesome artist however you can by at least following their page! ^^Dr. Morgana Hargraves is © to me

Hahaha, I mean, that’s pretty accurate, not gonna lie. Not easy livin’ life when you feel like there’s constantly people out to get you, but Morgana manages somehow!
Thanks so much as always for your nice comments! Always happy to see them pop up in my notifications~ ^^

Sometimes that’s just how things are, though it still never hurts to have an extra bit of ‘insurance’ on hand just in case (or knives, but technically same difference). Morgana is certainly nothing short of crafty and resourceful, and she absolutely uses it to her advantage to stay at least two steps ahead of the game.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment as always, Thieu! Always glad to see your posts around here~ <33

I mean, technically they've combined ninjas with just about everything possible, so why not a ninja librarian too? Though in a way that's not entirely wrong for Morgana, she had to have learned self-defense from somewhere or someone, right? And you know what else? Her maid is a ninja too, and does actively partake in a few different kinds of martial arts.
That aside, though, to be fair it never hurts to have some means of protection on you while you're out and about, never know when you might be accosted by some crook in a mask demanding for you to hand over all your money and valuables. Though Morgana tends to take that sort of precaution in a much more... extreme manner than most. But there does seem to be some kind of method to her madness. How else do you think she got her reputation as the 'Montag Hag'?
