The renzar tournament of strength is an ancient tradition on the planet Grom, a reminder of the way their ancestors chose their tribal leaders in times of crisis. With the modernization, the tournament acquired rules and became a very traditional sport. Occasionally other large races such as the Rakshani also have a few practitioners and sometimes engage in show combat.

Each wrestler or wrestler family, both male and female, has a unique emblem on their loincloth, as well as their own color that distinguishes them from the rest.

The renzar communities that live on other planets of the federation, like Chakona, keep this tradition alive, organizing their own league and local tournaments.
