On September 12th, I said goodbye to my first ever baby… it was a short 8 years, but we made so many memories… and thanks to you wonderful people, I was able to give him a nice send off…. It was horrible I had to lose him the day before my birthday, but he did get the first slice of cake <3 and he got 2 big juicy steaks! Plus many more delicious meals that he used to only dream of having his whole life…and even though he could no longer walk, I got to take him for nice long walks in my aunties stroller <3
I was able to take him for one last walk as we waited for the vet to come to our house, and we laid in the grass, ate some cake until he went to sleep… and I got to lay there with him till the very end… and even though I still beat myself up about if I said goodbye to early or not as I looked at his happy smiley face… but I need to keep telling myself the only reason he looked happy was because he was on heavy ,med’s, and being the centre of my attention… I wouldn’t have done it any other way <\3

He was my first baby, and my everything… and Altus has some pretty big shoes to fill, but the thought of him happily walking over rainbow bridge with my father, going to go play with Ember, Sabine and our other family pets makes my heart happy.
