This is a commission I had done In memory of one of my most favorite and cuddly goats. Well, a favorite goat I helped raise. Her name was Brownie and she was a total doll. Very human oriented, she was a pygmy/oberhasli cross that just love napping in laps, being carried instead of walking anywhere, and of course nibbling hair and noses. OMG she loved nibbling on yer nose. She made it very hard to leave the goat pen as she was always at my feet. Stood right next to me whenever I was in the pen and almost crawling on me to get into my lap when I would sit down near her.
Brownie could go out in public with me without a lead or a harness. She an hung by my side, or in direct eyeshot. People were quite impressed at how well behaved she was most the time. Unless you had goodies, she loved to try and take people snacks. Which is odd as I really never gave her that much junk food. Healthy stuff like fruits veggies, occasionally chips and bread stuffs. Always in moderation too. I helped gentle, raise an work with that goofball goat since her owner got her. She was like a family member to me as I get very attached to the critters I work or gentle, not all but a lot of them. Unfortunately she has passed recently. I decided to have this work done by
Peachiecreem , who absolutely did an amazing job. Totally worth more than the price I paid. You should get a commission if you have the chance. And quite a joy to chat with too.
As you may know. I dont post much. An commissions, I pretty much never post. Commissions I have done are normally very personal to me. So I pretty much never share them, but this is such and amazing piece. That I had to. The colors are warm an fuzzy like my memories of her. The likeness was capture quite well. Brownie was an adorable goat, but she would still get into trouble. Then she would come running to me when her owner would yell at her. The line work is clean and distinct. Background just totally finishes the vision off so well. I honestly gave the artist pictures of my real life goat. Just laid out a few simple things and got this as a result. Totally overdid my expectations. And pretty quickly too. Cant recommend
Peachiecreem enough! Thank you soo much. This is getting framed and put on my desk, near the pictures of Sister Horse, and my other raised goaties.
I hope I got the artist link thing right. I never did that before.
Ugh, it took me SEVERAL attempts to get the username link right. What is with the ~TILDA in front of the usernames? I never noticed it before, was that always like that?
Subject was my Goat irl.
