Oh gosh, I relate to a lot of those things

Maybe in a way they're trying to say ya draw some of the most hugable type of friendly faces, even if they may not be innocent ones. Ignore this if this comic was more about social stuff vs art but with consideration of the artstuff.
I think its fair to feel the way you do, but don't let the comments getcha down. (Again ignore this if its about social stuff) People I guess are just trying to say they like your drawings. You can feel however you'd like about it but I think it other overall feel happier, at least I can say say that after lurking for great many years.

Also the English language kinda sucks and is a bit limiting for most people, in a roundabout way people might just be saying "Thanks for all the things shared".

Also also from what is being described it sounds a little bit like "Imposter Syndrome" (if I've read a few articles on it right anyway). With that and the mutually known feeling of despair, I think most people don't mean anything deeply personal about comments like that most of the time, at most they are just probably trying to say something nice. Although I guess that can be a problem within itself too if it feels shallow. :(
