Wait. Is Manatear just a lighter and softer Roadside Picnic?
In all seriousness though, this is both epic and... Funnily enough, reminds me of a random idea for a fanfic or something of the setting before it was actually revealed that the world outside really is modern. (Basically Aldnoah Zero but in the Manatear, without many mechs and with the invading force from the outside having more advanced; but plausible; tech as opposed to the VERS in the anime. With the residents of the Manatear wielding relatively less advanced technology, but having magic so...)
It was a weird idea I had on mind for a bit and am glad to reveal.

had to look it up. Yeah just about. The rest of the outside world is effected by the event that happened to form the manatear but it isn't the end of the world. "STALKER" style artifacts has been vaguely a thing for the manatear even before I made it less wasteland. I intend to explore more of the dynamics that the inhabitants of the manatear have with the outside world and what some of their paranatural materials allow. (For example, the were-critters of the beast barony use a good deal of materials for their military to help punch well above their country's weight class. They are also the only group in setting that has enough of some of the materials to do flying battleships and other applications.)
