I can't fully pinpoint what it is but Eternal does have an actually scary look this time. 'v';;;
I can point out a few things but I don't know if its like...everything that can be found to be scary.

That definitely could be one of those reasons, I myself am super not into alien lifeforms so that may be it. Not that I hate aliens though, I just creeped out a little more easily.

I think what it is - besides the size - is the black colored nature and lack of pupils (lack of pupils is really normal for Eternal), maaayyybe the long legs? Its really hard to say even still!

But even looking past all of that, I can still truly feel its you because the clothing choice and well...tall. -v-

....I don't know what it is, but he looks kinda intimidating. XD I think the prominent black and the pupil-less white eyes make him look oddly scary. I think he has similar features as a rat, so don't know why as a giraffe, it's so unsettling. But he also looks kinda cool, so... :P

The empty eyes, the inverted dark and light coloration perhaps, the long slender appearence (Which was inspired by the body shape of the Star wars alien Race Caminoans)^^

It was meant as a joke first, but it turned out awfully fun to draw this form for Eternal^^

This one is very striking! Giraffes naturally have a very uneven and particular design to them, and you translated that very well to this version of Eternal.

Even captured like this, I feel his kidnapper is not quite certain about his own security, so I can only imagine more rope is coming his way.

There's the balance again between appearing sinister and handsome, with the exaggerated but elegant portions of a giraffe combined with Eternal's colouration and distinctive pupilless eyes, as well as touches like the trefoil motif to his patterning. Though I imagine he willingly knelt in submission for the rope to be placed around his neck, then lead along perhaps by a robed and masked priest to be taken to a temple.

Perhaps he will be made to kneel there before an altar, wrists still bound and bowing his head while prayers and incantations are said over him to 'purify' what they think is a demon of some sort though one whom seemed to be relatively peaceful. Then he'll perhaps be released and allowed on his way, another misunderstanding where he ended up bound but ending peacefully.

They watched in silence as he was led along the ceremonial route, in quiet contemplation for his own role in the event. As his wrists were unbound and the leash slipped free from around his neck, he took up position amidst the circle of robed priests. They would begin as they moved back, widening the circle as they began to spin in their dervish dance and the slow rhythmic beat of drums and piping of flutes set the tune, almost hypnotic in the sense of euphoric calm they induced.

He moved so lightly and elegantly on his hooves, his long neck bowing gracefully, as he moved smoothly from one position to the next, the intricate and elegant dance that set the light glinting of his white markings, making them shift and flow like stars against the night sky. For those who watched it seemed they caught glimpses of otherwordly vistas, or that where there had one moment been a giraffe there was another form though always with some signs that marked him as the same being.

The dance over, he bowed his head and knelt, his wrists ceremonially bound, and the leash slipped around his neck as he was led back along the ceremonial route having played his role to perfection once again.
