I'm not a fan of how it started but when it kicks in it's really nice.

yeah the beginning was kinda a fight and i lost it...
maybe i'm revisiting it sometimes.

In this game, Sonic runs around singing Christmas carols to fight against Egg-Grinch who is turning every little bunny and birdie into some evil toy-destroying robot. I love it!!! Thanks!

It sounds great... but I feel like you sort of left the neat original bass part out at times.

yeah, well the problem is to find a good ballance between that while doing the mixdown. I've been trying a few variations but at the end, the deep frequencys of the bass sequence would have eliminated some harmonies within the mix and it would have become a humming drone. Afterall, it is a remix which tends to be slightly different than the original :)

Sure thing! I really did like it though, so don't get the wrong impression. I just remember how I use to sing that old bass part while I played lol.

Oh and I meant to ask what program you did this with because it really does sound fantastic.

I use the program LMMS (Linux Multimedia studio) which also available for Windows. But i'm using the Linux version.

An interesting take on one of my favourite Sonic themes. I quite like what you did here, the soft feel to it makes me think of a Sonic CD-esque Good Future track for Green Hill Zone. If that had happened for real i imagine that it may have sounded a little like this.

Yea, it has some resemblances to the "good future" Sonic CD sountrack. At least our European and the japanese version. Unlike the US version which had a complete different Hip Hop style soundtrack

And yet i am quite not really satisfied with the end result (mostly because of the drumkit). But maybe i'm doing a complete different re-arrangement sometimes.

Hey whenever you make music from a Sonic game i'll be sure to check it out. I like both Sonic CD Soundtracks but definetely prefer the PAL/Japanese version so i'm with you there.

Well that's actually not a bad thing, i must say But yeah, i see what you're saying. Sometimes it's totally complicated bringing the sounds in your head out of your mind and put them into audible sounds that everybody can hear. For me it is like translating into a foreign language. Something always gets lost.

Totally agree. Sometimes i'll make a music track and i'll be thinking to myself, "there's something missing here..." and it will take me ages to figure out what it is! As you said something always gets lost.
