This is one of my latest pieces that I made for myself. I found the coin pendant on a recent trip to visit my roommates from Idaho. I knew I wanted it, just not what for. when I took a closer look at it i noticed that it had a hole i could use to make a bail...so i did and turned it into a pendant. The beads i used was New Jade (serpentine) Blue Lapris, New Jade chips, and Red Coral chips to throw in a little of that eastern flair. The coin is actually two sided. both sides of the coin has all twelve signs of the Chinese Zodiac around the outer ring. the inside of the coin on one side has some various depictions of which I have no idea the meaning of. the other side has what look to be Oriental language characters. the clasp is a barrel clasp that you screw together.

This is my favorite piece yet. I love it so much in fact that I wear it to work every day, and actually have had some pretty nice compliments on it.

I have a second coin which I'm also turning into a pendant...but that one is a special necklace that I'm making with a VERY different design style then from what Ive been doing...cant wait to finish it too!
