Escatella never really felt comfortable living in one place. A Justiciar through and through, she enlisted in Securitas at a young age and made it all the way up to the rating of Sergeant, First Class before her disillusionment with its well-meaning focus on fighting fascism and imperialism frequently dragging it into political quagmires with Yggdrasil's southerly interstellar neighbors overwhelmed the sense of satisfaction she got from serving her fellow pagans and syndicalists.

So, naturally, she turned to more freelance work with Damocles Security Initiative, cream of the crop of the allied Contractor Administration Board's peacekeepers to the north. Escatella's time with DSI involved serving in many capacities, ranging from long-range recon to operating fire support UGVs; at some point she even assisted in training new recruits from the worlds of Miral, Skål, Horizon, and Haven.

Then the Hordigal Massacre [rather more clinically known as the ill-fated Operation BODARK] happened, and now she and her battle buddy Rooker are aboard a freelance city-ship known as the Nous Defions, mostly hoping to forget the circumstances which landed them there.




One of the aforementioned main characters. This project's very much a group effort that's been evolving over the course of the past six years, and it's had its ups and downs. It's also not really something I realistically see being published anywhere outside of the small community that's formed around it, but whatever, I wanted to share the very occasional sketches I do of one of the factions.
