I used to do character drawings like this all the time for various storylines/characters I had going but haven't done one for quite a while. The other night I left my mechanical pencils someplace that I couldnt' easily get to them and I like to try to draw as I watch some DVDs, mostly television shows for some reason so I got out some, um, 'old school' (wood #2) pencils I had around and started sketching this to get a relative sense of size for all the characters. From left to right, there's Terry the zebra, Jesse the gryphon, & Jolene the rattlesnake. Above them is Obsidian the Rhoanthekan, then Tori - Todd's younger (but taller, yes, I made her an Amazon) sister, and Todd himself cuddling his love Danielle. Behind her is Jon the gryphon next to Althea Dar. Below them is the skinny version of Toni, Todd's youngest sister and her chubby side as well for comparison, and on the right is Danielle's cousin, Dan.

And for those of you wondering, this is pretty much how most of my sketches start out. It's a wonder they end up looking like anything, isn't it?
