That reminds me of a story my dad used to tell me about his time in chemistry class. While the teacher was out (for what reason, I don't recall), he and his friends decided to start mixing whatever chemical reagents happened to "look interesting". Then the concoction started smoking. Thinking very quickly, he emptied the flask out an open window. Three years later, the grass there still hadn't grown back...
