No. I actually know Kimba for a long time. When I was a child, I watched one or two episodes at my cousin´s place, who was able to watch german tv channels, while I at home only had access to the Austrian tv channels and there Kimba never was aired.
Later I bought me the 1998 movie on DVD and some time later I rade some chapters of the original manga online.

Totally worth watching the various anime tv shows and the 1998 animated movie in particular.
There was this debate, that Disney, who claimed "The Lion King" to be an original story of their own, had based their movie on Osamu Tezuka´s manga of Kimba. There are similarities, of course. Disney mostly specializes in covering allready existing stories.

One of the classic characters as I think the manga was amongst the earliest ones, so Kimba is a worthy addition to this series. Another manga as well that I'm going to be reading as a result of your artwork. Certainly a very handsome version of him as well in your portrayal, very much the magnificent jungle king.
I imagine here that this would be a challenge that Kimba has set for himself, having himself be bound and given his muscular physique it'll be an easy matter for him to break free by exerting his strength. Though perhaps he's set himself a certain time limit before he'll be at the mercy of those who bound him and subjected to teasing and tickles.
