whenever my friend discusses her two poodles, she always says how she likes her new puppy much more than her 8 yr old poodle; the puppy is friendlier and cuter and very loving, where as her older poodle is somewhat aggressive and not personable.
however, whenever she says this she has a twinge of regret on her face, and concludes by saying how the older poodle is much more like a person, that he has complex emotions and reactions and how he goes through depressions and self-loathes.
