Refusing to believe everything finishes here, she opens her mouth widely, large enough as if she were about to catch prey. (Though it seems she's the "prey" here...)
One last effort is made as she attempts to gasp for air, but she is too late as the mud already quickly begins to fill up her throat and mouth, gurgling as the mud consumes her.
And suddenly...
Silence for a few seconds before a couple bubbles pop in the mud in the area where she once stood, and the marsh becomes silent once again...
