The Henna, demons birthed from the darkest recesses of the land rose from their subterranean homes to raid and slaughter every single land in the region in pursuit of total conquest and domination of the surface. Now spread all across the nations, the Henna have infested even the very soil as grotesque birthing pits of black sludge give water to freshly spawned Henna warriors created with the instinct to kill and conquer. Ritualistically rising from the ground as shapeless masses donning a mask which will inscribe their purpose to them, all was according to scripture until a human woman saw the mask and decided to put it on for fun, quickly swatted out of her hands by her companion and given a very thorough explanation as to exactly what they are, the mask was picked up and worn by the entity now known as Lanugo.
A corrupted Henna inscribed with the mentality of a human soul in its mask, a powerful dark sorcerer meant for untold destruction left pondering its existence. Immediately adopted by the protagonist for being “too cute to leave alone” Lanugo journeys alongside the rest of the party in hopes of figuring out their reason for existing.
