This is Transmutation, a chiptune which I retroactively deemed inspired by a concept of something shifting around in form without totally changing identity. The symbol on the cover art is the alchemical symbol for arsenic, which in alchemy symbolized transformation. I don't know how accurate it is to the piece I wrote, but I thought it looked really cool so *shrugs* here it is. If I'm totally honest, this is a sort of spiritual successor to Ouroboros, a chiptune I wrote a couple years ago, and I wanted to find another symbol to use for this piece and settled on this one.

In any case, I'm gonna make the one-off thing into a full-fledged concept! This is a sort of single, I guess, for a suite or album or something like that of pieces inspired by various alchemical symbols. I'm excited for this concept, so I hope that I can see it through!
