At first glance, a much simpler piece among the ones I've been getting lately. But there's something special about it... For this one shall have no artist credit at the end. It's been a while since I posted my own art. I'm not one to practice a lot, or even try. It takes serious motivation for me to go through with the process of completing a drawing, since I substitute skill and experience with sheer stubbornness. Sometimes, it's well-worth it, though.

One of those cases is expressing sincere gratitude to a great friend worthy of acknowledgement. My noodly companion here, the amazing  Fyris, has undoubtedly won such a title in my heart. This year's Eurofurence 26 has been a massively positive experience, rekindling my hope for things to look forward to in the future. He has been a grand part of it, an ever-reliable roommate and unfailingly amusing company at all times. To me, the convention itself was a form of vacation - vacation from work, from worries, and thanks to all the friends, old and new, with Fyris chiefly at the forefront -vacation from loneliness as well. It changed the way I look at things - I only know I want more - and that now I have the patience to wait to relive those moments another time.

With this picture, most of all, I wanted to capture that unique feeling of comfort, of familiarity and peace. I may be the Giver of Candy and Scritches, for I love to do good by those who do good by me. Especially those who provide me with the elusive feelings of Care and Understanding. It can be quite charming to explore my gentle side at times - and this is the time when it feels right. I can only hope my own company and care is just as precious.
