Kumagorus was the 8th Kaiju in the Fireman TV series by order of appearance, serving as Monster of the Week in Ep.8, The Terror of the Micro Monster.

_Bio and Abilities_
Kumagorus was a plankton life form created, from a Capsule Mon set – a set of pet plankton that has become the rage with kids; one of them, Takashi, trying to see how tough these were put them in a pond where it began to feed on the plankton affected by a radioactive leak; this produced two monsters – an Infant version and a much massive kaiju, which the boy came to name Kumagorus. The Larger Kaiju could use its double tail as whips, blind enemy with smoke, used its horns for goring, bites and was capable of teleportation – the smaller version release a poison gas that left its victims in a dozed state.

Kumagorus was based on UltraKaiju Twin Tail who first appeared in the Return of Ultraman, and in fact, the infant version was played by the Twin Tail of the Stage Shows.

_History_
When residents of a Residential building are found roaming around unresponsive in a daze state – a child, Takashi, been attack by a Kumagoras – SAF discovers traces of Poison Gas of one of the apartment units. As Misaki is about to leave, stumbles upon Takashi who drops unconscious and takes him to the Hospital. When he wakes up, his reluctant to answer what drove him and the other residents into this state.

Later, Takashi disappears and Misaki – a friend of the boy, Sumere, concludes he probably return home to see his Capsule Mon Pet, Kumagorus, who he treated like a little brother; When they find him in his room, his pet seem to have vanished from the bowl. At the hospital, Sumere is willing to give her Capsule Mon, but Takashi in anger grabs her bowl and throws it.

Elsewhere, in a park, the Kumagorus, now a giant Kaiju, comes out the ground, scaring to teenage girls, who later report the situation to SAF, who state it resemble a Capsule Mon – SAF later deduces the Kaiju is a Capsule Mon that got mutated. Misaki, seeing a connection, talks to Takashi once more and when he made him realize the risk the creature is, he confesses, having thrown two of his pet into the Pond near by, to see how tough they were, when they came out, they became larger and continue growing since. After running tests, the Water show traces of Radiation; Mizushima explains this is a bi-product of an accident from theft of a Radiation Remover Machine a month ago, where it leaked into the Pond.

Later, Misaki helps Takashi to return home to see his new pets, when he gets an urgent called from Mizushima that the monsters had appeared, this time a smaller Kumagorus (played by a Twin Tail suit from the Stage shows); when Misaki arrive to assist, he too gets hit by the gas, but kills the creature. Not longer after the 2nd giant Kumagorus appears attacking Chief Umino's team, their weapons been ineffective against it; Misaki arrives on the Marigon when he begins to succumb to the effects of the gas, losing his eyesight, hits the beast and crashes; Afterwards, Misaki transforms into Fireman, but still lies under the effects of the Gas and without eyesight, making its battle with the Kaiju all the much difficult.

Time again, Fireman is either been gored, is blasted by the poison gas in the face or fails to land hits on Kumagorus; the Kaiju then uses teleportation to confuse his blinded enemy, when he launches a surprise attack, grabbing Fireman by its Tails and Bite, but breaks free. As the Kaiju dashes towards Fireman, the hero throws Fireballs, squarely hitting in the eyes, leaving it blind; As Kumagorus reels in pain, Fireman grabs the Kaiju and tosses it, then uses FireSlash to set the Monster on fire, killing it.

Later, Misaki comforts a reeling Takashi, who witness the death of his Pet friend from near by, promising he won't allow this to happen again.
