Banjo Tooie is in my top 3 favourite games of all time, Witchyworld had such a fun atmosphere and those mini games were really fun. My dumb kid brain even wanted to eat those gross fries and burger.
Definitely one of those few rare sequels that outshines the first imo. //Also love the soundtrack so much!

I personally don't agree it outshines the original, I actually prefer the original. Though not by much!
But they are totally different games so I don't compare them really. I enjoy them for different reasons.
First one is a more straightforward platformer while the second has a lot of minigame challenges and variety to its gameplay.
I replay banjo kazooie more cause it's more simple and shorter. But I have just as much fun with Tooie :D
My friends and I used to play those multiplayer minigames a bunch though, when we wanted a break from mario party that is. Such fond memories ♥
Also, Grunty might be my favorite villain of all time.
But they are totally different games so I don't compare them really. I enjoy them for different reasons.
