So. a while back I drew this picture and got a lot of positive feedback, which made me promise to do a frontal part 2!
It's been a bit since but I haven't forgotten, and have finally got around to pieceing together the sketch for the rest of the pic to come. The biiiiig heart in the center is for you guys <3
Frustratingly, Dr. Collie's contract didn't get renewed at his old campus for the fall semester. The official reason was blamed on his constant tardiness (he was only ever a minute or two late), while the actual reason was romantic jealousy on the part of his department's advisor. However, he quickly found new employment and research opportunities at the local community college teaching Astronomy 101 and helping undergrads upgrade their mathematics. Even better is that the new batch of students seem to pay just as much (if not more) attention during his lectures as the old crew! In his excitement to take educational advantage of celestial phenomenon taking place on this particular day, the good Dr. has forgotten to factor in something BIG...
Full pic to come, hope ya enjoy the WIP :3! Think you can solve for "D" ;3?

Well, it's a bit difficult. My theory to solve for D is that I can triangulate the height of the shadow using the shadow itself and the object casting it. However, that would require using an angle-side-side equation to prove they're congruent. Basically, I need some help sliding D into A-S-S.
