This guy is enjoying showing off his new legs to his friend, after he got the choice of getting his lost natural ones regrown or these experimental limbs.
Based on the same principles as ferrobeast biology, they are powerful and dense like self-moving armor, unfortunately high activity makes them generate a lot of heat, he doesn't seem to be bothered about it (yet)!

Technically these are biological in principle, there are living creatures -as results of scientific projects and breeding- who are able to reproduce and evolve while having a lot of biomechanical aspects, such as large amounts of metals as structural elements and heat exchange organs like you can see on this picture.

These legs themselves are separately produced but still usable by normal biological creatures after some supporting enhancements (these need advanced nutritional and skeletal support for example).
