a bit of a new thing - decided i wanted to start getting art based on the games i beat, starting with pokemon yellow. named some pokemon after my BFs, and they're what are appearing with me here

as for thoughts on the game - man gen 1 is jank. didnt notice it as a kid when i was growing up, but its kind of stunning how much my imagination was doing the work for me in making it feel like a world when there's really not that much actually there. people complain lately about game freak being like...lazy and cutting corners, but some of the game design here makes me wonder if they weren't just always like this and just managed to luckily hit on a few specific mechanics and gameplay elements that are perfect for giving people brain worms about this franchise

still, fun nostalgia trip, and i finally managed to catch mewtwo
