What began as a playful tease resulted in something altogether new! A friend of mine, Rose Luck, dared me to go outside of my comfort zone. Instead of writing what I usually do - muscle, macro, fantasy realms, etc. - she wanted a giant robot battle. It took me a bit to come up with something. But in a blur of 5 hours, I have this little gem for my troubles!
If you have feedback on how I can better write fight scenes, giant robots, or just sci-fi in general let me know. I am eager to hear it and to improve! I hope you all enjoy! Especially for Rose Luck too - I feel my end of our playful bet is complete, and eagerly await your reply. (Don't worry, it's all for fun!)

I enjoy the twist there at the end. I would be interested to see how the overarching plot would develop, if you ever decided to continue this sometime. The giants could even fulfill your own usual macro stuff, changing the dynamic from just robot combat to nature vs machines story, maybe some robots such as the main gecko here turning to aid the giants that were much smarter than initially thought. Idunno.
Either way, very fun read! You did wonderful, especially for a genre you never tried before.
