Dancir S’vana, once long ago known only as "Roc" a scruffy poacher barely getting by, she went on to make a literal new name for herself as a decorated lancer for sport at the Wolves Den and does work for the Maelstrom. Dancir became Elyssia Tr'iere's loyal confidante, devoted to a fault to her lady’s whim.

After a chance crossing of paths with Elyssia in their teens, Ely berated Roc's choice of lifestyle and lack of motivation and thought for her own situation despite being in a storm of her own uncertain thoughts and motivations. Roc became inspired by Elyssia's sharp drive and fury for making something of herself for herself...that once they parted ways not only did Roc give up the coeurlclaw ties but she also discarded her name, a reminder of who she once was. So taken by Elyssia's presence, she made up a name of her own choosing similar in fancy effect and style as the miqo'te who'd set her on the path...while also borrowing and invoking the Tr'iere name as a "retainer" of sorts realizing the weight it carried.

Years later, they meet again and Dancir is just as spellbound by the mage as she was when they first met...perhaps love at first sight, or something a little more obsessive.

Dancir is a complementary side character I've been working on developing for years to stand alongside Elyssia, I'm relieved to have a solid backstory and design idea thanks to some jump potions and dabbling in new Disciple of War gear in FFXIV to dress Dancir up lol
