Isn't cake without flour a brownie?

not nessisarialy, it could be a tort.

Sachertorte's are the best, although I prefer them without the icing.
But some torte recipes call for flour, instead of the nuts.

Out of curiosity, how did you make this? I've seen recipes for this kind of thing, flourless cake, and some of them use some really strange ingredients, including one that uses black beans and eggs as a base (which does sound interesting and good, but I'm also partial to bean cakes and fillings).

How was this made? One word: custard. Long answer: eggs, and lots of them, tempered, and emulsified with milk and chocolate.
