Hello everyone. Currently I'm not working in new artworks because I'm focused on practicing my drawing skills.
An artist youtuber which I used to follow mentioned how important was for artists to also work 3d modelling. That's why I decided to model my dragon OC Goldigony in 3d exactly two months ago. And this time was the turn for Sparkly Emerald, my changeling OC (check a reference right here). The process was basically the same in comparison to my previous model, but for this occasion I had to work with transparencies and emissive materials (materials that glow).
The whole process was absolutely amazing and fun. I know, maybe I didn't add so many details as required and it could be better, but I still liked a lot how Sparkly looks. I had a lot of troubles mixing properly the lights of the materials with the lights of the scene for a better render, and also making the gradient texture with nodes was a bit confusing, but it was absolutely worth it! I know that I still have a lot to learn in Blender, but I love the progress I'm doing with this amazing software.
Please tell me what you think about my changeling OC, and if you would like that I try to model other characters or other stuff. I would probably consider it, because this is a great exercise and I love to model stuff, or at least, trying it.

I am simply astounded over how many of your posts I missed as a result of not properly managing my anxiety and depression. Thankfully, I am not allowing myself to be depressed for feeling bad for not seen these posts sooner. I am just glad that I am able to get to them now and thankful you do not see me as a bad friend for how it has taken more than a year to get to viewing them.

How would you say the 3D version of Sparkly compares to your 2D version? Do you think that 3D Goldigony and/or Sparkly would fit in well if they were to be brought into MLP: G5? (I know they brought Twilight Sparkle and Spike into the 3D New Generation. If you have seen 3D Spike, I would definitely like to know your thoughts on how they did with him.).

It's okay Yosh. I'm glad you're feeling better right now to catch up my pending submissions, it really means a lot to me.
Well, the 3D version of Sparkly include more detail and really nice glowing effects, but the problem is, as well as with Goldigony, that they need a lot of work in the eyes and all the facial parts responsible of believable natural facial expressions. That is usually obtained using "sculpting techniques" in Blender, but that's my less favorite thing of the software, I'm not really good using it at all, and well, it is a destructive process so there is no way back. With all those changes made they could probably fit perfect on a scene with G5 3D representations, it would be even easy to test since you can download those models too.
