Barbary or ringneck doves (Streptopelia risoria) are domestic members of the Columbidae family, likely descended from either the African collared dove (Streptopelia roseogrisea) or the Eurasian collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto). Though the exact timeline of their domestication is unknown, they've definitely been around for many centuries, if not upwards of 2000 years. These days, ringneck doves can be found in a wide variety of color morphs, including albino.
