Sorry for being so late today. I've been... Out. Anyway, this side to Alex is not something I had originally in the storyline. Sure, Roger always had a crush on him, but for Alex to be... well, not sure himself, was not how he was originally. However, I felt that Roger wouldn't take a flat out "no" for an answer. Though (as you can tell from the last panel) it might take him a while to figure out that Alex is actually concerned about hurting Roger's feelings and wishing him the best. It also doesn't help that Alex genuinely has very low self-esteem, especially for a lion.
This version of Alex is a bit more empathetic than the original that I thought up and I do like that. I just wish it didn't come across as him being Asexual (<spoiler>For now at least, he's not looking.</spoiler>) I guess it comes across the way that it does because it was about the time I was working on this page, I had broken up with Toxic. The one thing that I think really helped spark it was the fact that I wasn't looking at her in that particular way. It can be genuinely torture for people to want to be with someone who simply doesn't want them like that. You know?
Anywho, yatta yatta, hate those bubbles and cringy dialogue.... So on and so forth.
