Bakur, is the pulak shaman of the village of Amurga. He is a mature adult, knowledgeable about medicinal herbs and healing processes. As Richard is a medical student, at first they do not get along, but finally the creature accepts him as a disciple, and both complement their knowledge and dedicate themselves to healing the pulak villagers and other species of Sanyahona.
