Fursuit of Luna is finally here!
I can't even begin to say how happy I am to finally be able to share this with everybody. Luna looks so perfect and it makes me so happy how she turned out.
Short story:
So, way back in the year of 2020 I decided I finally had enough money to commission a full fursuit. Anybody who has been friends with me for a while or has been following me here on FA knows that it's been something I've talked about for a long time. But I didn't want just any maker to design and bring Luna to life. I was suuuuppperr picky. I browsed though what must have been +100 makers. I wrote down pros and cons of several and even reached out to a few fursuit owners in regards to their own recommendations. For those that know the fursuiter "Flurry" she was a big help in finding someone and had some very solid advice.
Eventually I found this one maker "Amaretto," and instantly after seeing her profile I knew she was the one. I saw not only an artist, but someone who was continually improving their craft. I saw the passion and care that she poured into each and every fiber of what she made. And then the wait for her to open commissions started. Around July of 2021 she finally opened up and I took the step and sent Luna's reference and a short message. And, one large PayPal transfer later, Luna had found herself a maker.
I want to take this moment to talk about Amaretto and her work. As I said before, I browsed so many fursuit makers and so many other wonderful works of art that it was actually a tough choice. I had a list of about 6 or 7 makers that I was genially very interested in. But once I saw Amaretto I knew she was perfect. When I glanced through her gallery and saw how far she improves with each creation, I saw someone that wasn't going to just make a suit for me, but was going to make a real piece of art. And man did she.
Amaretto not only listened to what I had to say, but also added her thoughts and expertise to Luna's creation. Luna's fursuit is as much mine as it is hers and I can't thank Amaretto enough. She was commentative though out the entire process. She was transparent with how long things should take and was exceptionally informative with each and every step of Luna's journey. When I had an idea to change something on Luna's tail I felt embarrassed as I didn't know how to put into words what I was thinking. I wanted to change up her tail so that the colors looked like they were on fire and traveling up the tail. Not only did Amaretto understand what I was saying, she took my idea and expanded upon it and her tail looks outstanding. ALSO DUDES... IT HAS A FREAKING SQUEEKER IN IT AND I CAN'T BE MORE HAPPY!
Also, I want to say just how much of an absolute pleasure she was to work with. Amaretto is polite, kind, and is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever had the experience to work with. She is an artist though and through, and seeing her craft even inspires me to follow my own passions. She is supportive of ideas but also not one to hold back criticism if an idea wouldn't translate well. I don't think I can recommend her enough, as an artist, as a fursuit maker, and as a friend. Amaretto stands head and heals above the rest.
Amaretto, seriously, thank you.
I'm going to put the story of my first time fursuiting next week for next Fursuit Friday. Cause man, did I learn a lot. O.O

I mean. Id love to go to a convention. But i dont got the money. Though if i go to one and see Luna ill for sure ask to hug. If i can get the courage to do so that is.
And yah that dont sound fun. Even if they asked id have said no myself. Since anything more then hugs are for people i know and not strangers.

*Wags my tail & smiles* You are very welcome! I've never been to a convention or don't yet have a fursuit but, have always wanted to do & own both. Biggest issue I have is figuring out what fursona to bring to life & who to trust when traveling the big scary world. Probably why I've never been because the truth is the world intimidates me. =^_^;=
It can be very intimidating going by oneself. I have 3 friends that go with me and that help Luna since I can't see very well in suit. I suggest going to a small local con then go bigger one. And going with friends really helps. There are also lots of guides online for going to furcons on things to bring and things to do. ^w^
That is probably the smartest way to stay local but, to be honest Maine doesn't have many furry cons & my friends are not of the furry community. Just a bunch of good ol' rowdy country boys. I'm the only fur in my group. =^_^;= I've met a couple local furs online but, haven't met them in person yet but, it is on my list of things to do.
