A poem I wrote for V
It had all began in a flash, I just couldn’t follow it.
We’d taken to each other like white on rice.
I can’t even believe it happened, I will admit.
And, your unparalleled company was plenty to suffice.
We talked for hours, we just couldn’t bring ourselves to stop.
We’d always end on a happy note and say our goodbyes.
We had such a projection on each other that we caused a swap
Of the roles in our connection – much to our surprise.
We really couldn’t let each other go, not a moment of silence.
And even if silence prevailed, it was soon combated.
I couldn’t stop talking to you, I had a heavy reliance
On the solace you provided with every moment we chatted.
I never thought it could end, I was stuck on the high
Of our endless talking and unceasing growth on each other.
I wish I could have given more, but I was always too shy.
And, I really didn’t want to chase you away and smother.
I had grown so close, so comfortable;
I told you worlds about me and you did too.
But… I may have come across insufferable,
I never meant any harm to you.
I don’t think I’ve stopped crying yet;
Even without tears, the feeling remains.
And, you should certainly know I’ll never forget
The temporal memories that now make up my heart’s stains.
I think we’re still okay, but I haven’t heard from you.
I’m hoping for a miracle at this point – begging the universe.
I can’t even begin to describe the heart-ache I’m going through.
With every second of silence, I only grow more nervous.
I’m just writing at this point, rhyming with only emotion.
I hope that it’ll help me, but the content only lasts so long…
You really changed me and set my life in motion;
And where your future takes you, I hope I can come along.
I just need some way to show you my devotion.
I hope my poem does suffice, and I hope you’re here to read it
At the very least. I need you to know how much it meant
That you spent time with me – you never quit.
But… I guess I’m only left with my descent-
Speak to you soon, wherever you are.
I hope to hear back from you – I’ve wished upon every star~

They did <3 They just fell asleep because they have COVID o_O I woke up five hours after posting this to find a lot of messages from them... we both made our mistakes and are sorry. A few tears later, and we're good and know that we'll leave each other on purpose.
