In another world, this could be Conan after strangling the King of Aquilonia on the stairs to the throne.
What is sad is that so few remember what made Conan so deadly. Yes, he was strong and yes, he preferred the axe and the sword, but he was adaptable. Wherever he went, he learned the local fighting styles. So this pose would be more out of character than him using a short sword.
