Inspired by a late night/early morning IM with my mate. We live 8000 miles apart (she in Australia and me in California), so these rare moments where we get to say hello when our schedules are out of synch are very precious.

Goodness knows I did the long distance thing for a little over a year, but it was only 777 miles, and fortunately in the same time zone... and I think I would sympathize with the sentiment of this picture regardless of that.
It's a heartfelt, universal image just by itself, and the description only adds to my emotional response. I sincerely hope that the precious nature of the moments only grow and grow, the closer you find yourselves :)
