In which the sword-and-planet version of Onni Hitzok and Dea-Htuhok from Steve Gallacci's 'Albedo' series confront a relative of the Creeping Terror. I imagine the dialogue is going something like this:
"I'll be with you in a second, honey, just have to re-calibrate the blaster."
"Oh... take your, urrgh" *squelch, gloop, splat*, "time darling." "It's not like I ended up inside this thing for ten minutes before you cut a hole for me to get out of."
The aftermath of the prior picture's battle. This is one reason why you try to avoid monsters like this before getting cut out of them.

Hehe memories of a slug related incident in my past - involving rather large slugs in a relatives garden borrowing a pellet rifle from the relative and finding out the slugs would take a hit from a pellet and would hold shape for almost a minute before they emptied out thru the hole the pellet made. Wonder if a space blaster would do the same or just lightly fry them....
