In a wasteland outside the sleepy frontier town of San Marianna, the Victory Frontier's strongest guardian waits for the Metal Beast and LiveMetal horde to try and storm through. Though, she ponders the nature of the battle.

Protecting the town was absolutely no question, but are the Metal Beasts truly as heartless and cruel as she had seen? Or were they simply a horde of terrified animals doing what animals do to survive?

Was there another way?

However, the ones known as LiveMetals weren't the same. Her talks with the one known as Slash opened her eyes to that. Their attacks are ones made by a subjugated people. Ones too wrapped up in centuries of propaganda and information control. They need help. Maybe they... They can be liberated and become citizens too?

But her doubts turn to conviction. As the enemy forces begin to dot the horizon, she knows where to point her sword.
The Engineer... He is to blame for this.
With her eyes steeled with determination, she grips her blade tightly and rushes in to fight as the townspeople and their children watch from their boarded up homes and cheer her name.
