So this started as a commission in which I never wanted to take in the first place. I was finally talked into doing it after like months and months of being bothered about it. And now that I am this far into it the commissioner doesn't want it. Says "It's good, just not his style", which is fine I guess...except for the fact that now I am expected to give him a full refund and get ass raped for the materials and labor put into it.
HOW WONDERFUL!! -sarcasm-
So, Just for future reference to anyone that commissions me, I am not quarrazel, primal visions, beastcub, firestorm, furhappens, or any of those other fursuit makers.
If you want THEIR style of fursuit, please commission THEM.
I make my own style of fursuits and that is the style you will get.

Anywho, I think I will go forth into finishing up this head and adding a tail and a pair of handpaws and putting this cool cat partial up for sale.

Airbrushed markings?
I need to practice more with the air-brush.
If I were you, I'd go ahead and ship the head to the person who commissioned it with a polite note that he/she should have been aware of your style before commissioning you. You are not liable for a refund just because the customer out of the blue decides "Hey, I don't like the style". You filled in your end of the contract, just send the head over and move on. That's my advice though.

I just wish I would have kept my grounds and never took his commission in the first place. Just a big headache and a waste of time.
Second, I agree with Drak, do not refund the material cost. He's just trying to screw you over.

I love the markings, I assume you used your air brush?
But as dragonknight said...do not refund material cost. Im sure this guy will sale well once you put it up for auction^^
I think that you are right, I should have no problem selling him when he is done.
Nice/Different Eye design! Is it an eye-looker? I've never been keen on Duct-lookers (or anything that the wearer Doesn't look through the eyes)

That totally sucks. You are a really nice guy though and I know you will provide a full refund. It's not on at all and I feel for you.

The commissioner obviously wasn't experienced enough to understand that artists have "styles" and that picking the right style is more than simply saying "I'll pick that one because they're cheap/don't have that creature yet in their repertoire/have the time to do it"
my only quibble is that it looks quite a masculine sort of suit, otherwise I'd take it off your paws in a heartbeat x3
secomdly what the hell?? surely this person realises that no one will copy anyone elses style! surely he looked through your gallery and saw what your style was all about? seriously!
and third, he should definitly not get a full refund.

Well I think its a great loss but if they didn't appreciate all the effort you did, it's a good thing in a way they didn't get it or they might not have taken the care of it.

what color hair and how long? do you have a ref sheet?
