HOLY SHIT, HANNA.
YOUR HAIR IS AMAZING.
HOW DO YOU MAKE IT CURL AND SHINE LIKE THAT.
This is a classic example of "The sketch looked WAY more like the character than the finished product does."
. . . Everyone always draws Hanna with blue eyes, but I wanted to be different, and also Miss Stone i do not think ever draws them with color (that I have seen) and as such they are CLEARLY dark gray.
Clearly.
(with a blue tint)
In part because he has red hair.
Also, Hanna, your hair was a bitch.
finding that exact shade of red-brown was SO HARD that I actually had to go back to my laptop (because I do not draw there), get on the HiNaBN website, and colordrop your hair from the banner :|
But it came out the best of the entire picture, I think, so that's alright.
. . .
Can you guys make out the shading on his face/hands?
It was extremely obvious on my desktop but I'm looking at it on the laptop now and it kinda just looks like his face is dirty (which is partly due to my inability to pick colors- I'll work on that, I swear.)
I'm using this as an opportunity to learn, and given that, I think it turned out okay. Though I cannot for the life of me pick out dark colors to shade with :|
. . . playing with layer types for the (sketchy) lines, too. I always forget that Black doesn't really do anything except disappear when layer types are set, though. *derp*
. . . Anyway.
To be honest, I mostly wanted to finish drawing that sweatshirt.
Like.
I LOVE argyle, and I perhaps love orange+blue even more, so the two of them together is just TOO MUCH TO HANDLE.
It took a very long time before Mom and I came to all the other colors for the jacket, though, because I didn't really know what It looked like except lighter sleeves/hood and the blue+orange argyle.
So Uh. I'm glad it worked out.
If someone could please PLEASE make me that sweatshirt, I would love you forever (and probably give you all of my money)
Hanna Falk Cross is of course the property of
vert-is-ninja, who is just about the most awesome person ever to have graced the internet with her comicking powers and witty banter.
And if for some reason you do not know who hanna is, I send you here: http://hanna.aftertorque.com/
. . . man he looks like a girl when I draw Him. I wanna rename him Annie.
I think it's the hair.
I did it hella wrong.
