You could seriously make this epic at this point.
Perhaps the fox's response could be cold... representing an upheval/revolution.
*fox looks at the General with an odd look, eyes begin to glow strangely*
"Why General? So i could get close to you... your time is now up." "For to long you have ruled with fear, that will now change."
*Fox realizes his near death experience gave him some new powers, and he throws the General through the wall before he can even respond, waiting to see the shocked look on his face.*.
Have to think of some more, but it could be a good twist.
